Having A Baby In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hello.

I am interested to find out the TRUE cost of havind a child in thailand

as im now faced with the situation.

The problem being I live in the UK and the gf lives in thailand ( korat to be precise )

Is there any type of medical insurance available in thaliand that would cover mother

and baby ( once born ) for the costs involved and ongoing hospital/clinic visits etc.

My gf keeps bombarding me with demands for 1000's thai baht which i dont know

for.

As the UK is now becoming an incredibly expensive place to live i keep trying to explain that my

money is spoken for each month, I will help but the demands are ridiculous.

Can anyone please shed some light on the Matter.

Cheers

All.

PS I know its my fault as much as anyones but its happened.

Bumrungrad in Bkk used to advertise a maternity package from pre natal care through delivery for 30,000 baht. That was offered about 5 years ago and hosp prices have increased drastically since then.

You might check the bumr. website for current offers or email them with a request for pricing.
