Talking with thai friends the other day, the subject of 'Thai ladies and virginity at the time of marriage' cropped up.

My understanding is that Thai men prefer their women to be virgins and it was asked, how do you know she is a virgin? No- one could really answer.

As it is such a long time since I had anything to do with virginity, I have the following questions.

1] How can you tell - without a medical examination - that a woman is a virgin?

2] Does a virgin keep her hymen in place until penetration of the penis - or other means of penetration, say fingers or a vibrator etc.?

3] Can a virgin's hymen break by other means?

4]Does a virgin actually bleed on first penetration?

5]Does a virgin's vagina still 'lubricate' when she is turned on?

I always heard that about strenuous exercises (such as a cheerleader doing the splits, and we know they were all virgins, except for George W. Bush when he was a cheerleader at Yale).

With all the gender reassignment surgery going on today, the reattachment of a nearby remnant of a hymen should be easy. However, I am not sure if torn hymen remain attached.

The Old Testament said that after the wedding night, the bride was supposed to present evidence to the high priest that she was a virgin the night before. The euphemisms do not allow us to know how this was checked.

It is clearly a double standard, that the females can show some proof of being a virgin and the men cannot.

An exception to prove the rule. At least thanks for the answers. As for finding a virgin for myself, I gave up on that idea a long time ago.

Maybe some of you guys should look at the culture you are living in. Especially as Thai's desire virgins for marriage.

As for me? I am happy with what I get Also I am happy with the lady I have.

Intermult... I would stick with the non virgin types myself , no experience a bust & they can be like klingons if you are their first.

Cathyy is 100% correct- there is no real way nowadays to tell. with exercise (riding horses playing squash) or any other sport it is easy to rupture the hymen. If it is a girl that ever worked in a bar, I would believe it only as far as I could throw her!

Some of he upcountry girls have family values that are old country & might still be virgin. Discomfort during sex would also be a poor indicator as farangs tend to be larger girth & size than the Thai men- so it could be the size of penetration that causes that.The better question is if you plan on having unprotected sex would she go with you to one of the hospitals & test for aids. Where do you think you are ? Alabama ?? There are many girls upcountry that are virgins when they graduate from High School. It isn't like Bangkok where many of the middle class and Hiso girls are running around.

Well, although I live in Pattaya (in the burbs), I have spent alot of time in Isaan, and in Chiang Rai, and probably now rather more than you.

But it's very easy to slag people off because they live in Pattaya and don't know anything about Thailand.
