I have a return ticket to my home country in europe which will be used this month, when i'm going back to Thailand next month... will it be ok to buy only one way ticket Stockholm-BKK with Thai Airways. I have 1-year non-o (marriage visa), tabian ban book etc etc, and stay here permanently. Will check-in staff in Stockholm airport allow me to travel with one way ticket ?

A tourist visa is not normally questioned but officially it does require onward travel for issue.

2. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

- Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months

- Visa application form completely filled out

- Recent( 4 x 6 cm.) photograph of the applicant

- Evidence of travel from Thailand (air ticket paid in full)

- Evidence of adequate finance (10,000 Baht per person and 20,000 Baht per family)

- Consular officers reserve the rights to request additional documents as deemed necessary

But, if i´m not wrong, that is the requirements to GET the tourist- visa, my question is if you can be denied entry because you don´t have a return ticket along with your visa. The visa gives you the permit to enter the country, so it shouln´t be necesary with any other documents (return ticket) should it?

The visa allows you to travel to Thailand. Upon arrival in Thailand, the immigration officer gives you permission to stay in the country.

The website of Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) says that a return ticket is necessary for an application for a tourist visa. Some consulates implement this requirement, some do not.

The IATA guidelines for airlines require a return ticket if you travel to Thailand without a visa. Therefore, the tourist visa in your passport tells the check-in staff that they can give you a boarding pass even if you have no return ticket.

Permission to stay is always given at the discretion of the immigration officer. The tourist visa will tell the officer that he can give you permission for 60 days and he would deny this only if for example you were flagged in the immigration database as a blacklisted person. Immigration has the right to ask for a return ticket but has never been reported to have done so when a tourist arrives with a visa.
