Bangkok Police Clearance

Featured Replies

My Girlfriend has been granted to apply for Australian visa while in Australia

One of the requirements is to get a Police clearance from Bangkok

Here is where it is getting hard to understand

Is their an application form she needs to fill out ?

Is it available off the Net ?

How many sets of finger prints does she need to send

Have contacted the Australian Police and they say they normally provide 1 set for this purpose

She has to go to the Police Clearance Centre in Bangkok......take her Tabien Baan and ID.....she can fill out the form and do what ever is required at that time....takes about a week or two for the clearance to come through.....it is free and she can pick it up from the office or have it sent to her home address (postage needs to be paid)

Okay have now completed the first stage of this, so hope my info will help others needing to go down this track

Went to Broad beach Police station and they would not give the requested 3 copies of the fingerprints Bangkok Police require

Rang the Thai consular in Brisbane and talked to Bill Dunn who said to try another Police station as the deffinatly required 3 origional finger prints

He then told me the Australia Police will not stamp the finger print forms, they just sign then so Bangkok Police will not accept unless they are then stamped by the Thai consular

Coomera Police station did the 3 copies as per the requirements no problems

Then went to the consular and had them cerified and stamped

Cost

Police Station $23.10

Thai Consular $50

Total cost Aus $73.10

Looking at 10 days to get to Thai friend and 10 days to get back

7 - 10 days to get report from Police

Looks like just over 1 month to receive back

A lot cheaper than a flight to Thailand

and Oz immagration said No Problems we can wait till you get them

How different from Embassy in Bangkok

next step the Government dr and x rays
