Hi

My wife has recently started an ESOL course and will be doing her first exam soon (Level 1). Is there a level that she can reach which would mean she does not have to sit the UK Life Test?

Thanks in advance

It doesn't matter which ESOL level your wife passes, providing that the college can attest that she has progressed one level. In other words, prior to her commencing the course, the college should have assessed her capabilities and determined her to be at level x. She then takes a course at level y and if she passes it, she has fulfilled the requirement, providing, of course, that the college can also attest that it was taught in a citizenship context.
