Funny that, I was just about to start a thread asking exactly the same question.

There was a really useful thread a while back that had a list of countries, and how long Thais could stay without a visa, costs etc, but I'll be darned if I can find it. Maybe a good idea if one of our friendly mods can find it to pin it in the 'important topics' at the head of this forum, as it is a regular question for various countries.

They will be given 30 days visa free on entry. Young unaccompanied Thai women can be questioned closely. They will need return ticket and some cash and or credit cards. If suspicious, Immigration has been known to only give days until return flight.

My wife has gone with me to HK many times, we walk up to counter together, no questions, no problems, 30 days every time.

Same for both Singapore and Malaysia.

Thai's do not need a Visa to enter HK or Macao. Your Thai friend will get a 30 day tourist visa stamp.

the return ticket may be requested also to other foreign visitors, not only at the holder a the thai passport, normally is your air company that verify it because otherwise they'll be charged of that if you can't pay for it when the autority ask at the arrival.
