Time's Square Building Fire?

I live behind the Time's Square Building on Sukhumvit Road. Walking to read my morning paper and have coffee I noticed black smoke pouring out of the basement where Coco's Restaurant is located.

After finishing my paper & coffee when I went to go home there are now about 15 fire trucks, rescue vehicles, and 2-300 spectators watching from the BTS crossover and the Robinson's side of Sukhumvit.

I don't see any more smoke so think the fire is out, or at least under control..

Yes, according to what i heard from the fire/rescue radio frequency, first caller called 199 to report a fire at 9.09am. 3 fire stations were dispatched and the first fire truck arrived on scene at 9.16am.

2 teams of fire fighters with breathing apparatus did enter the building and control the fire at 9.38am. It appeared to be in a snooker room, the fire damaged some roof and an electricity control room.

Pretty good response time for central BKK at 9AM, qudos to the fire brigade
