Nam Phrik Long Reua

I just had some of this type of nam phrik with vegetables and sticky rice. It was very salty indeed. Is it supposed to be very, very salty? Also am I right in thinking that shrimp paste (กะปิ) is one of the ingredients?

Don't know it by this name - wonder about it's saltiness... other ingredients, except kapi (shrimp paste)?
