Rhys Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 American, 52 now.. been in land of smile for on an off 12 years.. However, this is the longest stint, going on 3 years.. I seem to recall to obtain foreign residency status you needed to live in LOS for 5 years consecutively. Question.. What are the benefits? I usually have all my paper work taken care of by the school.. Yet once that is over..the processing changes.. Cheers Mates...
lopburi3 Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 You must be here on one year immigration extensions of stay for three years to apply for PR. The fee is 200,000 baht if you are approved. You then do not have to make annual extensions of stay but still require a work permit for any employment. There is a good overview/discussion from the pinned items at top of forum under useful information.
