Will A Thai Pal/ntsc Tv Work In Usa

Featured Replies

For my future move back to the land of the Sane, I'm wondering if a Thai bought HD-TV with auto PAL/NTSC switching will work in North America (Canada/USA).

I already have an unlocked (All Zone) LG Portable DVD Player that will play all Pal/NTSC Disks.

But TVs and Disk Players in N.A. will ONLY play NTSC ... and I have many PAL disks.

Also, I don't think Home players will play VCDs only DVDs.

Will a Thai HD-TV work in North America???

Thanks

CS

Yes :o !

It just needs to support NTSC (which you've said it does) and have a multi-voltage power supply which, if it's HD, it will almost certainly have.

Most TV's in Thailand are multi system, so most probably will handle the American NTSC.

Your biggest worry will be the fact that powersupply in the US is 120 Volts at 60 Hz. Doublecheck that yoyr television can handle that voltage/frequency. Many will, but also many won't!

If it's auto volt - yes
