How To Make Phone Calls To China - From Thailand.

Featured Replies

Am having problems getting through to Guilin in China - via my mobile (1-2-Call) and fixed phone (TOT).

Different people are suggesting different ways of doing this i.e have to use a code BEFORE the country code and have to drop the '0' on the mobile number in China etc etc.

Can someone who calls China on a regular basis assist?

Also: an indication of costs-per-minute would be most appreciated.

when i call uk i put 008 or 009 before country code so 00844.... makes it a fair bit cheaper, about 7 or 8 bht per minute so china being closer might be less?

Skype is under 1 baht per minute. Jajah is just under 2 baht per minute.

I haven't used either to call China in over a year so I can't help with the dialing problems, but Jajah usually corrects simple dialing errors; probably Skype too.

Thanks for those responses.

Someone else provided me with this link: http://www.countrycodes.com/call.php - which, if I ignore the bit about a 'city code' - appears to work very well indeed.
