On behalf of a mate who wants to and has set up there wedding in the UK,

In view that its all set up, all she needs is a visitors visa and the paperwork to prove the wedding? 63GBP

If she got a fiancee visa its 500GBP

Question is, with the visitors visa and then married, does she have to come back to Thai after her 6months is up or will she have the right to remain in the UK?

Thanks in advance, Lickey.

13.2 - Immigration conditions upon entry to the United Kingdom

A person holding an entry clearance as a fiancé(e)/proposed civil partner will initially be admitted to the United Kingdom for 6 months, with a prohibition on employment until after marriage/civil partnership.

Once the marriage/civil partnership has taken place and after satisfactory completion of a probationary period (normally 24 months), set by the Home Office, indefinite leave to remain may be granted. :D

Those who marry whilst on visit visas are not allowed to then prolong their stay in the UK. Your friend's fiancée would have to leave the UK at the end of her stay and then apply for a settlement visa at a cost of £515.00.

If they do decide to marry whilst she is on a visit visa, it is a "marriage visit" visa for which she should apply. If she applies for a normal visit visa, she will have to then apply to the UKBA for a certificate of approval to marry at a further cost of £295.00.

Scouse.
