sbk
Inflammatory posts have been deleted. And mind, further such posts will result in moderator action. I suspect wondertoast's motives have been misunderstood. A re-read of his most recent post is in order. Good luck to them with 900 Units! I read on another thread here that there were only 700 Farangs homes on Samui. Crazy, they must be from Texas, everthing is big in Texas! Japhrodisiac
they sold cool blue very quicklybut in todays market, 900 units are going to be difficult to push There have been many projects marketed by these and similar people that have "sold out" very quickly, and I tend to take these claims with a grain of salt. Have a look at the unfinished, decaying Amera project in Baan Makham, up above Shambala. No construction activity in a year or so, only structures up, 90% "sold out" to "happy foreign investors". LaoPo
they sold cool blue very quickly Really ? 41 villas at a 'present market value of 22.000.000 Baht' ? # The lease renewals add infinitum, not just for 90 years. # The buyer can later sell the lease offshore or a new lease can be created (90 years) and sold on. Maipenrai007
These guys sound like snakes. There are plenty of developers starting projects around the island without 1 sale, now that backing yourself. Just sounds like these guys are out there to take easy sales and spend the money, come on get with the programme if you have more than 1/2 sold out a development surely you would have started some thing by now. Unless hese guys are totally stupid they should have stared one thing by now!!! These guys are giving our Island a bad name!

Samuian
How much juiceier can things get? "Koh Samui today has become one of the world's most renowned and desired tropical island escapes, its turquoise seas, glittering sands, towering palm trees and warm hospitality the stuff of legend. Life here unfolds at a gentle pace. Relax and reset your watch to island time. There's no rush. On this enchanted isle, you can truly take time to stop and smell the flowers. Watch the palm trees sway in the breeze. Appreciate the gentle murmur of pristine waves. Savour the finer things in life at your leisure. Lose yourself in a tropical paradise. Find yourself a little closer to heaven each day. " -quote from www.himmapansamui.com- which could read as cashewsamui... reminds me on some other nut very common here on the island....well there is money to be raked in.... some go, new will come or change the outfit.... JimmyBonne
I hear that everything is going to be progressing very shortly with these projects. However seeing is believing!!!!!! If all things go well then the projects will turn out ok for the buyer in my opinion, even if they have waited a while for the results I hope everything works out for everyone involved

Mossfinn
I have been asked by a friend regarding possible investment in this place. I do not know the area and I rarely come into this sub-forum, but it would appear that most of you are rather sceptical regarding this development, would I be right in suggesting you guys on the pulse would say it is a no-brainer and to leave well alone? Cheers Moss

Cheers Moss Simple answer we might all be really wrong. But use simple check list. 1.What other projects have the developers sold and when were they sold? 2.What projects that they have sold are being built? 3.Can I see a completed a similar even smaller project? 4. Check the quality of the complete projects!!! 5.This is the biggest proposed develpment on Samui, double check pionts 1,2,3 & 4 again. Common sense would say that if you were to buy into such a big development yo may want to see what previous work was like. Well good luck. Maybe you might like my project above at Maenam beach!! LaoPo
New Himmapan developments. Buy a hotel room on Samui for GBP 184,300.... http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Sipp-Buy-Pro...57#entry2122757 and: A room with a view to retirement From Financial Times (...) By Elaine Moore Published: August 1 2008 18:48 | Last updated: August 1 2008 18:48 The downturn in property values has failed to quench investors’ thirst for putting bricks and mortar into self-invested personal pensions (Sipps). As a result, providers are turning to increasingly exotic schemes in order to meet demand. Fareps, the Far East property expert, is launching a scheme for investors to buy hotel rooms, starting at £184,300, in the Himmapan Beach Samui resort in Thailand.
