Where To Stay In Surat?

Featured Replies

Couple of us are taking a minibus from Trang to Surat, Should arrive around 7pm.

We will be taking the morning boat to Koh Phangan the following day.

So we need to book tickets or...figure out how to get to the pier etc.

Where would be the best and most convenient place to stay in order to arrange all of this.

Cheers.

Hey

I would get the carferry to Samui from Don Sak. You should be able to catch the last one. From there everything is easy, accomodation etc. Have had a few bad expirences with the "travel agents" in Surat.

Thanks!

Do you mean if we stay at Don Sak accommodation is easy?

If the driver can't assure you that you will be at the fery pier don sak BEFORE 19:00 the last ferry leaves don't even think to go there!

reasonable good Hotels are

"The Wang Thai" (650-1000) ThB

or the

"Siam Thani Hotel" (similiar price range)

"The Saowalak Hotel" (bit cheaper)

cheaper "Thai Accommodation" down town Surat...

and next morning you take a "Samlor" for a few Baht and have him drive you to "Seatran Office"

or Panthip Office they run Buses to the Ferry Pier Ticket (~180 Baht - subject to change!!!) include both!

  • 1 month later...

Try the 'Tapee Hotel', in the middle of town. ca. 550,- THB

tapee is just down the street from the night boat pier and the standard room is 440 and is nice, clean, good aircon and hot shower. best value for money in the city i think. i'm here now.
