Imagine, If There Would Be No Sexual Desire...

...no sexual drive, what would be different in the world as we perceive it today?

Would it be dull, boring, a no fun place?

We'd be extinct.

Any survivors might enjoy clinging desperately to the moral high ground, as exemplified many times on here? :o

No Global warming...

No pollution...

Lots more trees, forests, marine life...

Bluer skies...

No world wars...

Human's believe they rule the world. How presumptuous our species can be...

"Humans" believe a lot of other things too, hmmm.. a point, but what would prove these theories ("less war's" sure?).... "extinct" (no way!).. "cling to moral high grounds"? (don't think so!) :o

Would there be less fashion, accessories, less fancy motorcycles, less cars, less strife?

There was that cult in California...the one waiting for the comet...Heavens Gate, I think.

They voluntarily castrated themselves, believing they could think more clearly if not burdened by sexual urges.

Nuts. (or lack thereof)

I've never seen an alligator in a dress, so probably yes.

ah sez... yo be da man Thaddeus! :o

i reckon people would spend their time coming up with pointless questions.

that said, is everything with you alright down south?

Pattaya would still be a sleepy seaside village! :o

the difference between sleepy and sleazy is a-z.

still a village though... :D

yep, I am absolutely fine.... if in doubt come along and i'll show you! :D

but besides I think that it's quite funny that people really thing that "sexual desire" has anything to do with "the human race being extinct"!

then simple cells are driven by "sexual desire"? :o

Wasn't there a Woody Allen movie about the future with a similar premise?

He took advantage of the lack of inhibitions.

Girls would perform any sexual acts on him 'cos they didn't feel anything while doing it.

Do simple organisms re-produce voluntarilly?

Well, honestly didn't have the chance yet to ask them! :D

On the other hand I can simply not imagine that the rear end of the platyhelminth does courtship with his head to convince it to shed it - and vice versa or that this term may apply for autopoiesis or miosis... :D

Similar events take place after sexual desire has been satisfied and if impregnation was successful!

Well, well, well....should have made it a simple poll Yes/No

...and besides if I look through the many, many posts in this forum alone, regarding.... relationships and the like... makes me roar! :D

My conclusion is that some would certainly much, much better of, some even still be alive if things would be a slight bit different or at least a wee bit under control! :D

Humanity would really change into something incredibly different. Normal Sexual desire is something so core to a healthy human being that I think in 50 or so years we would be something incredibly different mentally. And I shudder to think what we would be like.

would you mind to share th "incredible something" idea with us...?

Ok Samulan. The effects would be so wide reaching that simple things you take for granted would cease to exist. Things like, that first kiss, butterflies in your stomach at the sight of your first crush...your first love. Imagine all the drama, movies, art all focused on love and relationships between the sexes. No, it just wouldn't be right, not a place I would want to live in at all.

It would certainly appear so or maybe someone held a gun to their head......

We could all be friends and artificially inseminate each other.

And there'd be no more need to be gay, bi or hetero
