I would go for Phuket :o

Are u a lady i assume from the pic? why your comments always

looks biased?

Male or female has noting to do with my postings, biased ? thats a matter of opinion, I can have my opinion just like you, and I post them wheter you like or not.

I think i had to put those yellow smily face after my post.

No offense meant.

If you read back this thread, even i want for phuket as my second

favorite place after bangkok. The word "Bias" doesn't mean true or

false, but an idea and not given any reason behind it.

I would choose to live on Ko Pagn Nagn. Apart from the monthly folly of the full moon party it really is a nice place. Not so commercial (although sadly it looks like its heading that way), yet still has everything there you could need.

I like the weather there, some of the storms the place gets are fantastic. I know its not everybody's idea of a good time but I like to lie on my hammock, read a book and relax while watching the skies open up.

The people there are friendly (most of them) and if you behave yourself you will not find any trouble.

Over the last four or so years Ive been there countless times, staying from one week to six months at a time. I would love to settle there but I have a slight niggle about the commercial aspect, sadly I think its only a matter of time until it starts to mirror Ko Sumui which is in my opinion is like Blackpool (UK) only with the sun. Enough said.

Ok, well, I would like to vote for some other places,

but they are not in the vote.

BTW I had a really nice lunch (ordered breakfast) in Surin city today.

Yes it is a huge tourist attraction, in fact if you are looking at media statistics, try Surin. I think its one of the places the media tend to cover.

I am not voting for Surin, but I think there are many places here that hav'nt had a mention.

But yes, its dirty dry dowdy Issan.

Thanks for reminding me. I might ask to list it, though little late.

So CM's still on top spot then...good old CM :o. Phuket's alright for a whirlwind tour but couldn't stand the persistent Indian suit salesman who like to grab your arm and bore you with their drivel in the million-to-one chance you will be enticed to go into their shop. Laem Singh Beach is very nice, it must be said.

Nobody's forcing you to go live in Patong... :o I dare you to rent at Royal Lanna at the Night Bazar in Chiang Mai... wouldn't be much different I think?
