July 30, 200817 yr I have recently revived my interest in building scale model kits (primarily WW2 Armour kits at 1:35 scale) I have been buying supplies at Central Bangna or on the Internet. Does anyone know of a serious Professional shop in the Bangkok area that caters to this hobby. Specifically looking at paints, airbushes and painting accesories cheers Freddie
July 31, 200817 yr The official distributor for Tamiya products is in RCA plaza. I don't know how much help that is to you though.
August 11, 200817 yr Hi, I saw a company on the internet, that is run by british guys, who sell painted figures for wargaming. This painting was done in Thailand, then shipped overseas. I'll have a look through my files for the address - perhaps if you contact them they could supply paint for you?
August 11, 200817 yr There is a massive stationary shop Called B2S (I believe) in the Central World Shopping Mall. It stretches over at least three floors, and includes a large art department... paints, thinners, brushes glues and so on... including a large range of spirit and water based acrylics.. All the Bangkok Model shops that I have yet encountered deal only with pre assembled and pre painted models. More for the collector than for the modeller. I was able to find most of what I needed in B2s... though I would still like to find a proper model shop that has scenic basing materials like Flock and lichen for sale, along with speciality superglues like the Pacer range... I have heard that such a shop may exist in the chinatown reagon, but I'm still awaiting confirmation of this. I went in search of a roumored Model train shop in Central Plaza, but was unable to find it... I would imagine that it has either closed or moved.
