Contact Lenses

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I wear Bausch & Lomb PureVision (balafilcon A) Toric (purchased in UK)

They are monthly ones that you can sleep in (though I don't). This apparently means they allow the eye to breathe more. The contacts I got in Bangkok suffocate the eye (my eyes were always red).

The expert I saw in London advised me to be careful of this type. I didn't speak with him about daily ones but my number is very high (-8.5) so that might prove a bit difficult. I would like to stick to the monthly ones if possible.

Anyone knows of where to get these? I asked all the stores in Siam Fun and no one had them.

Regards,

Andy

Only basic types of soft lenses are available in Thailand. Import is probably your best bet. An international hsp like Bumrungrad might be able to import for you, but I don't know if you'd save anything; more likely you'd just pay more.
