I had a good look around about 6 months ago - could see no decent portable docking station in the supermarkets, airport plaza, kad suan keaw. Anyone spotted one - want to take it camping this weekend

If what you are talking about is a speaker system to plug your ipod into, there were several on display at the Airport Plaza Apple Shop 5 days ago. They did not have them there 6 months ago and I am not sure they are for sale but that is a start because if they do not sell, they could tell you where. Try Pantip Plaza, I do know a guy that bought one in CM several years ago so they are probably around. Used to be a shop selling Bose in Airport Plaza that had them too but probably to top end for camping.

hey, those inmotion things are powered by Altec Lansig; so should have enough ooomph.

I have an Altec Lansing inMotion IM7 system for my Ipod, use it indoors and out.

Bloody brilliant and enough grunt to piss the neighbours off should the need arise. Paid about US$250 a few years ago in Singapore.

I am also looking for something similar, but with an Alarm clock built in. Anybody happen to see something like this around Chiang Mai?

As someone else mentioned Central Airport Plaza. 5th fl. Saw those, or dam_n similar, at the Apple shop 2 weeks ago. And they can probably order something for you also
