Hua Hin And Cha Am

Featured Replies

Going to hua hin in a week or so. Will need two rooms, don't want to spend too much, would like to be near the sea if possible. Do they still have guest houses on the pier? Does anyone know about how much they are?

Any tips or recommendations for a good place to stay, under 1000 baht a night would be nice to read about!

Same goes for cha am, or anywhere nearby i guess.

And just to really tap everybody i'll be driving from chiang mai, so any tips on how to best avoid bangkok?

Stayed at the Nilawan Guesthouse last July. Very close to beach and quite reasonable rates. We checked in at 2 o'clock in morning after nightmare train journey from BKK. Staff very attentive even at this hour.

Lots of other options on same street if they cannot accomadate you.

Good one mate. That does look right up my street. I'm half planning to just turn up at one of the pier guest houses that i used to stay at years back. But this is a good alternative. From my memory it seems it's more to the southern end of the beach... how long was the walk into the town?
