While looking for a new hobby for myself and with consideration too something that our toddler could get keen about during his forthcoming inquisitive years , the idea of a terrarium came to mind.

After searching the net for a while I finally decided that a Paludarium would be the coolest option.

There are some great ideas on the net for incorporating aquatic and amphibious creature into a paludarium, and building these micro rainforest ecosystems does not have to be a grand or lavish affair.

However, although the rudimentary items are easily and cheaply available in Bangkok, some of the fine tuning items such as moss and other required goodies to ensure a successful and sustainable project might not be so easily sourced.

Have any of you guys partaken is such a project before or currenty and/or does any one know of a shop within Bangkok that specializes in paludarium accessories, necessities and livestock?

hey

i would go take a look at tjatutchak market (or however you spell it) i was there not so long ago and there was 2 shops who keep dart frogs where there are dart frogs there is is stuff to build your paludarium, i also recommend you to join a forum that specialize in paludarium animals there you can find really simple solutions to build a palu from houshold materials i did it myself many times and keep more than 25 spieces of dart frogs , for plants all fern and orchid do great on a palu and are easy to come by in thaland and all other aquatic plants are just standard fresh water tank plants

hope it will help you a bit

cheers :o
