Same glue that holds any marriage together anywhere in the world, why are you trying to imply that Thailand is different? -

How do you feel about this?
The question is; are you legally required to show them the receipt? Afer all you've already paid for the items so they are legally your property along with the receipt. Be interesting to see what they would do if you refused. -

Money changers in Pattaya
6 years ago (a lifetime in ever-changing Pattaya) I used to use the money changer on Soi Buakhao near the bends as you come from Central Road opposite Witherspoons. It was an independent and very reliable. Conveniently just round the back there was a branch of Siam Commercial. From Google Maps, it looks like both have gone. Can anybody suggest a money changer in Pattaya, preferably but not necessarily close to a Siam Commercial. Reliability is the key. Independents used to offer slightly better rates than the bank booths. -

Why is the MAGA movement so susceptible to crazy conspiracy theories?
The FBI did testify about the authenticity of the laptop. So you saying that "the FBI testified the laptop was real" meant something else? Come on man, if it's code speak for something else then can you translate for those outside your MAGA bubble? FBI agent confirms authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop -

Does your Thai wife keep you on a short leash?
Back to the OP original post. How bad is the traffic? How much has it changed last 5 years? Does she cook often so you can eat at home in quiet? I couldn't hear the bad air in CM or anywhere. It's bad enough in USA sometimes. Luckily the forest fires were not so bad this year. Is the air better in your mountain getaway? Does it have a view? To me there is peace in being above or upriver from the crowds. Where do you eat up there? -

How do you feel about this?
You are thinking too much. It's neither. It's a numbers thing, if you see the staff checking customers at the exit, it will deter want to be thieves. Its mind games for the less educated, the brainless, it works for Makro. Don't let it bother you, just enjoy the experience and low prices. -

Does your Thai wife keep you on a short leash?
Sounds like more of an issue with the company you keep. All the couples I mentioned all enjoy socialising with each other. Sounds like you would rather go out without your partner and just catch up with your 'boring' mates. I do bow down to you though as you seem to know what the majority of Thai women want to do, where they want to go etc. That level of insight is invaluable. Why? I assume that no visit to the pub would involve watching a game? Or can you watch a game but are just not allowed to discuss it? -

Are Older Men in Thailand Trading Love for Financial Ruin
I feel sorry for you, if that is your experience of women then you must have a terrible life. I know many Thai families where both the man and woman work and pay for things together. Maybe it is different in the North East though, I have never wanted to go there. No hang on, when I had a house built six years ago in Rayong the builders were a Thai family from Issan, the Thai woman and the husband both worked on building the house. Therefore the guarantee you have made above has become instantly invalid. You said, "This is how it works the world over." I know for a fact most married people in the UK are in a situation where they both work, it has been that way ever since my parent's time and I am in my sixties. Yet another false claim. I will make a silly claim now, 100% of people are aliens.
