Hi, my wife wishes to book a flight to london. Have seen good deals with ethiad, 18000 batt. Can she book this anywhere in bangkok using cash, as she has no debit card

Of course she can. Mighty Travel on Silom at Naratiwat (Silom Plaza) are one of the big agents for Etihad and I have bought tickets for family and friends. They prefer cash as, as typical here in Thailand when I pulled out a credit card they said they would charge 3pct more. Also Mighty travel usually gives an extra discount of about 1000 baht per ticket.

I only found out about them (mighty travel) a couple of years ago when I went to the Etihad office at All Seasons Place and they recommended them.

18K for London return with Etihad? I think you'll be lucky to ever get the advertised price. Etihad's website didn't work properly for several days last week even. Having just checked 10 dates for outbound to London in Nov then return early Dec, cheapest was 41K.

Is Silom Plaza walking distance from Chong Nonsi BTS??

18K ??? No way.

Cheapest return is 40K

One way is way above half the return.

On the other hand, miracles do happen and if you do get 18k, best of British to ya :o

Well I booked a return ticket to brussels on their website dept Sept, return Oct for 20k PLUS tax, fuel surcharge, total 29.950B

Guess that promotion is dead now. All fares show up after submitting travel dates, with highlight lowest available.

If there is no 20K there then the promotion is not within your selected date range.

Ethihad usually has this prom for travel March-May and Sep-Nov.

Seems they reworked their website recently, possible first days problems with website?

I saw the same (18,000) for Dublin as well for October/November. I played with many dates and it was available over many dates but of course went up double for Christmas week.

Website was up and down last week but I can see it's been redesigned and seems to be working normally now.

Silom Plaza is just next to what was the old Thai Airways office. Mighty Travel is on the first level next to Lao Airways.

Get a one year fare and pay a bit more then you have a cheap ticket back anytime in the next 12 months.

In the summer Etihad was 18k return to Europe but taxes had risen to approximately 12k.

Hi, if you email us at [email protected] with her name and preferred dates we will be delighted to help. That Eihad is tho a one way i reckon, the rpomo return is 34k plus tax and fuel so about THB 36k all in, but there are other deals to be had and we can advise. She can pay us by using ANY bank she likes and just depositing cash, no problems, and tickets are elctronic.  Hope to hear from you.  Regards, Guy and team

Hi CarlBkk,

Silom Plaza is about 200m from the BTS.

Take exit 3, take the staircase on the right, walk up the road towards Silom Rd, at the x roads turn left and Silom Plaza is another 10m's on the left, it's a large white open air marble hall.

That wasn't a one year ticket now, was it?

Cheapest one way is..... I'm sure if ThaiVisa Travel are worth their salt, they can find you a O/W flight for 17k inclusive.

No, that was a summer special which had to finish within about 3 months if I remember. I got a one year (flew out to LHR end July) for Bt36k I think, of which 12k was taxes and fees. Maybe a bit cheaper, cannot remember now.

I know that when I wanted to come back, I could not get back on Etihad without waiting a fwe weeks and new tickets were around the £1000 mark so I risked Jet via India and it was ok. So now I have a BKK-LHR on Jet and a LHR-BKK on Etihad to use sometime in the next 8 months.
