Hi,

Would anyone be able to recommend a reputable travel insurance company that offers more than 2,000,000 baht cover for medical expenses for a Thai travelling to England. I just feel that in an emergency this wouldn't last very long in England.

Cheers

BUPA Thailand definitely do a travel insurance for Thai people travelling abroad but as with most insurance providers in Thailand I would suggest the cover does not match the figure you quoted.

Check out their web-site for info.

I believe 2 million baht is as high as it gets.

I have used AIG (new Hampshire) for years to cover my Lao partner, but only as backup, I always have local insurance (in my case the Netherlands). It costs me about €1,50 per day and has a much higher cover.

The AIG insurance, I only take because the Dutch embassy requires this insurance when you collect the visa.

Try iag.co.th I used them a year ago.Two days after I arrived in Europe I had a stroke and had to stay 10 days in hospital. The bill came to 3600 Euro. Two month after I submitted the bill the money was transfered to my bank account. They cover up to 5,000,000 Bath.I will also use them next time for my thai wife.I can recommend them.
