A friend went to buy wine at Sukhumvit Villa supermarket this afternoon and was told she couldn't because of new liquor laws allowing the sale of alcohol only from 11am to 2pm and 5pm to midnight. An employee told her a lot of farang had been yelling at the cashiers when their purchases were refused, and there were long queues at 5pm.

Anyone heard anything about this?
