I will be travelling from Manchester, UK at end of Nov. KLM to Amsterdam then on to BKK with China Airlines. My question is for anyone who has done this route, " can I check my baggage straight through or will I have to handball it across Schipol"? I am on an e-ticket booking.

Flown EVA in the passed and they stopped dual ticketing as so many people missed the last Man flight from LHR on return journey and they had to put them in hotels. Lugging bags from terminal 1 to 3 is a pain so it would be nice to wave bags goodbye in Man and say hello again in BKK.

FLY with KLM via AMS From Dublin klm has code share with aer lingus no problem.

You say you are changing between klm and air china did you book the tickets seperately. If you booked as one ticket no problem.

appears to be on one ticket as everything done online with TA so hopefully no struggle with bags.

Must admit that EVA desk at BKK will still put bags through to Man even when on separate tickets. This really winds up officials at LHR. Main problem with EVA is getting across LHR to catch last plane. My bags have never made it yet. Trying China Airlines as a change but never flew with them before.

I believe KLM and China Airlines do interline, so you can check you bags in and collect them at BKK. Schiphol is easier than LHR anyway.

This is my preffered route to Thailand from Manchester. I've booked it many times, most recent was September. Your luggage will be checked straight through to Swampy. Legroom of CI065 and CI066 is good, but not the best inflight entertainment. Food is fine, service is very good. I'm sure you'll be well satisfied.
