Sondhi's problems date back to a legal battle with his former friend Toxic Shittywater. There are some libel convictions and a couple of other cases that are being dragged through the courts. Getting rid of the government will not make them go away as such BUT a different government may see fit to put forward a clemency case to the parliament.

Excellent point, playing golf is more important than the destruction of the economy, tourism and job losses (not the elite of course) this madness is causing. He may even get a retrenched former hotel manager as his caddy. Some positions in life require you to do what is right and fulfill the obligations to your job, and not what is expedient for social sports. A point that sadly eludes you. If he were actually concerned about PAD injuries then having the guts to take charge and ensure such would be the honorable thing to do.

They should carry on negotiating (not that it will get anywhere), then send in the troops. Tear gas may be a bad idea, confined space, lots of people, small exits, could lead to people being trampled to death.
