post-71198-1227902592_thumb.jpgUA has advised me that they are planning to operate the flight from NRT to BKK which will depart NRT 11/29 arrving in BKK on schedule.. I guess they know something we don't! I called the 1K line and it is a go for tonight (Asia time). I have an SMS set to advise me of any changes. FWIW I'd go to SIN and take Silk up to Phuket and forget about BKK all together for the time being. UA has advised me that under the special rules change in place for travel to BKK I could switch from BKK to SIN at NRT, no problem. Well, I just might do that, tomorrow! BTW, Silk has four A320's per day SIN to HKT. UA will allow a change to SIN and you can keep you BKK on the return after the red shirts do what the coppers ought to be doing and that is boot those Yellow shirts out.

It's more likely that UA is not telling you the whole story, e.g. they are actually flying to U-Tapao, not Suvarnabhumi.

UA does not tell the true story because the Narita airport website shows this flight as cancelled along all other flights to Bangkok from Japan except 2 747s from TG (one left this morning and one is about to leave now). I suppose the TG flights will land at U-Tapao

I personally think you are all entitled to your 'Flights of fantasy' at this time , just hope your particular fancy comes true , this whole debacle is a travesty against honest , hard working tourists who have chosen Thailand for a well earned vacation they have worked hard to save for . Then just cast a thought or two for the hard (?) working Thais who have a living to make to support their families , this goes far beyond a simple 'Sit-in' and will have ripples of repercution that spread to many parts of the world .

No longer the land of smiles , it has become the land of disruption , the land of deceit , the land of degredation of its people , i hope for better things to come for a once smiling populace who has much less to smile about at this troubled time .
