Know Where To Buy Stevia Extract In Bangkok?

Hi,

I've tried unsuccessfully for years to find Stevia liquid extract in Bangkok, Pattaya, and Ko Samui (where I found some expensive Stevia leaf).

I'm in Bangkok, and would like to buy some. Again, I've tried many places. I know Stevia (maybe not extract) is available at places in Chiang Mai, but I don't go there.

I bought a Kilo of the powder (which can be made into a liquid form) from the US. It cost me about $50 but my friend was afraid to send it because it was white powder, and he was too paranoid:) Hope he likes it.

I've tried to find it myself (really helps with food cravings!) but the only source I have found thus far in several years of trying is health oasis resort in Koh Samui. Can definitely buy it from them at their place in Samui; I don't know if you can purchase by mail nor if they would be willing to reveal where they are getting it from. No harm in asking...

Stevia sweetener in powder form is available under the brand name Bio-Rich. Green packaging, handy sachets for tea, coffee, etc. I bought some at Golden Place (there used to be one in the basement of CP Tower, Silom and there's one in Rama 9). You might also be able to get it from Central Chidlom, now you know what to ask for. Or Try Lemon Farm on Ekkamai.

Alternatively, as a second best, sucralose sachets are available under the brand name of Fitne at almost any large supermarker - but make sure it's the green pack clearly marked 'sucralose' - I think the main Fitne product contains aspartame.

You can buy stevia powder from Villa Supermarkets, or the dry leaves from Siam Paragon.

Brand name? What does the packaging look like? I really need some of this, and will look for it my next trip to BKK.

You can buy Stevia in powder form conveniently at CentralWorld. The brand is "Biorich Sweet" in a 150g container for 250 baht. The shop is called "Doi Kham" and is on the 7th floor next to GNC store behind Central FoodHall (supermarket).

It contains Steviosides 5% and Maltodextrin 95%. It has 0 calories and is 100% safe!! For more information on the product, please visit its company website at:

====================================

The other brand is called "Green Sweet" and is available at any Villa Market. It's about 75 baht, but it has calories (50% less than real sugar).

It contains Steviosides 0.5% and unrefined Sugar 99.5%. So I do not recommend you to get this unpure Stevia.

====================================

Do not get "Sucralose" as it is not a natural sweetener. It was derived from an insecticide and there are many studies releated to this sweetener being harmful to living beings. So avoid at all cost and get Stevia which is 100% naturally extracted from sweet leaves instead.

Sucralose brands on the market are Fitne and D-et.
