Valium (diazepam) In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I think Valium/Diazepam can be bought over the counter in Bangkok. Is that right ?

A relative stranded there is in need. Where can it be found -- preferably near Central World (near World Trade Centre, I think).

If not readily available over the counter, where to go for a prescription ?

go to the nearest hospital, it is not legally sold over the counter.

It's a crappy drug. If you're going to self-medicate you'd be better off with a bottle of Sangsom.

A number of posts have been deleted in keeping with Forum rules against discussing illegal acts.

Valium is a controlled substance in Thailand and not legal to sell over the counter.

If the need is for stress or sleep, might try Atarax in the 25 mg dose (102 tabs), it is also a minor tranquilizer and has sedative properties but unlike Valium nion-addictive and legally sold over the counter, any pharmacy has it.
