Does anyone know whether the Certificate of Residency needed for transfer of vehicles is currently obtained at Immigration or the Consulate?

Don't think Immigration will do it anymore--which means Consulate only--bad luck if you're a Brit as they charge an arm and a leg!

As far as I know the German consul also is issuing the certificate of residency to non german citiziens.

It's costing 1000 Bath.

As a Brit - will they also do an income certificate????

CM Immigration resumed doing them a while back. Less than 1000 baht if I recall. Takes about 45 mins and in addition to signed copies of all the usual bits of your passport that have anything to do with your current visa, arrival card etc you'll need a signed bit of paper from the manager of your building with a copy of thier ID card and a word or two that confirms you live there.

If you're passing in the meantime they have a check list of what's required.
