Happy New year everybody.

After some advice ,

Background

I am an Australian, my Thai wife and i were married in Australia in April 08 while she was on a tourst visa.

We have applied and have had 2 tourist visas of 12months with 90day stays in the past. Never had any problems.

Now i would like to apply for the longterm 2year heading towards the 5year migration visa for Australia.

I have downloaded the forms they are asking for all the same info.

As the embassy already has our history, photos and details since 2005.

Question

How much effort is needed for the long term visa? As they already have 80%.

Yes we need her police clearance and medical check.

Any constuctive advice would great

Cheers

Hi McFan,

I am happy to provide you with a bit of advice, but I am a little uncertain as to what you are inquiring about.

Does your inquiry relate to applying for a partner visa, or another tourist visa with an extended visa validity period beyond 12 months? If it relates to the latter, you may want to read the post that I did a few days ago on that same topic:

Hi Bridge

Thanks for the reply.

Its for the partner visa. (The tourist visas were simple compared to this).

They already have proof its been ongoing, on the first tourist application we had a inperson meeting at the embassy.

I was hoping for a simple form just to update the extra details etc police check, wedding cert, hospital.
