¡Hi!

A couple of months ago I entered this forum to ask for your advice in order to get a VISA in order to move to live to Chiang Mai by the end of January 2009.

I´ve just get a Multiple Entry Non-Inmigrant "O" Visa for the purpose of "Visiting Friends" from Hull Consulate. :D

¡I thank you very, very much Maestro and all the guys that helped me! :o

I am 39 years Old, I live in Spain and I have both Swiss and Spanish Passports. Finally I used my Swiss Pass for the Visa.(But I could have used either of both)

In Spain there is no way to get this visa. I sent on the 28 th of December my Passport to Hull with the rest of required details and the 5 th of January my passport is back with my Visa inside.

I hope this information is useful, specialy for Europeans Non UK citizens, that are not so aware about Visas for Thailand like you are in the U.K.

I enclose copy of the Visa for anyone that find interesting to look at.

¡ I wish you all a great 2009!

Cheers,

You are saying that they posted your passport to Spain?

Don't forget that if you do a Border Run just before it expires you will get another 90 days. Making a total of 15 months.

¡Hi!

Yes. They shipped it to Spain. I just added 10 Pounds to the 100 Pounds cost of a Multientry Non "O".

I was aware but thank you for your added information about the 15 Months in total.

Nice to have confirmation that they will send to EU countries :o

Good news for those EU citizens who have less-than-friendly embassies / consulates.

Yes

Thanks Bagan68 for this good experience.

Could be helpful for me as I have to go France in a few months...

Can you tell us what kind of mailing they used to send you back your passport ?

¡Hi!

They used International Signed TM Royal mail.

I sent it with FEDEX the 29 th wihch means that they got it at Hull the 30 th. The Visa stamp is from the 31 st. So you should calculate maximum 5 days to get it bach from the moment your pasport is stamped with the Visa.

Interesting to see just how far they will mail your passport ? I know they have the post office packs at their offices (if you don't supply your own) but I think they previously drew the line at having Fed Ex or similar pick up from their offices. I wonder if that has changed or whether it is merely EU wide that they will post out.

Perhaps the OP could recount any email or telephone discussion prior to his sending his passport overseas to Hull ?

¡Hi!

I had was in contact with the consulate by mail but I really don´t know if it is only for EU Citizens and other countries with special agreements with EU. I´ve got my Visa with my swiss passport and Switzerland is not part of the EU but is true that they normally have special agreements with the EU.

The Hull consulate has an enquiries mail in his web page . ¡Only need to ask! :o
