There is a shop on the east side of Ratchawong Rd. Between Wichayanon and Rattanakosin roads. Wichayanon is the road the US Consulate is on. There are usually air compressors and lawn mowers out front. They have table saws, radial arm saws, and lots of other neat stuff. If he doesn't have it, he can order it. Has a huge catalog you can peruse.

If you have something in mind and can't find it, my recommendation is to find a distirbutor on the internet (e.g., makita, dewalt) and aske them to recommend a retailer in CM and can order the item for you.

As far as retail shops, there is one good one on the corner of Chotana and the ring road (sorry I can't be more specific).
