Hey,

Does anybody know or can recommend a good wedding photographer in or around Bangkok that would travel to Krabi or one actually in Krabi? Trying to plan a wedding from Canada and having a tough time finding a good photographer. Looking for someone that has experience doing weddings and taking natural pictures. I need help!! Any suggestions anyone can make would be really appreciated!

Merci!

Hey,

If you are a freelancer and have experience photographing people...or even weddings...and could snap a wedding in Krabi - let me know! Trying to plan a wedding from Canada in Thailand and having trouble finding a decent photographer online...keep in mind that the wedding likely won't be for a year or so.

Thx!

I've seen a fair share of pretty damning amateurish "photography". Guy with camera posing as pro photographer.

Over hyere, couples tend to have at least two distinctly seperate session. One at a studio where you both wear different costumes (this may take all day). then the events.

Maybe a mate with a tripod and a good video camera can step in and complement the photography?

I would start by asking which gear will be used? A canon 1 Ds Mark III, a Mamiya or some medium format camera? or some normal budget SLR with just one zoom lens?

For outside shots, dawn and dusk are best. Avoid direct sun light on the faces, opt for shadow instead when it is during the day and no clouds in sight.

You can get the studio shots done weeks or months before the actual wedding! For a huge selection of dressing, it has to be in BKK.

When you got the shots, make sure the studio desists from messing up the files by whitening the skin etc. often, they remove all details, turning a real face into some nightmare. If you want that, have them save the original file, then do the messing about.

At our wedding, the photographer wouldn't even bother framing a shot. He set the zoom to wide angle, then wasted 2/3 on the ceiling or the sky. No need to fear any out of focus issues that way :o

Don't expect too much...
