I am going to have some of my additional shoes shipped(i have big feet can't fit shoes here). I thought I might also have a few non-perishable food items (some spices plus some minerals and vitamins that are way too expensive here and not the right formulation(and dose wanted) added as long I was shipping some things. Is this going to be a problem with Thai customs? This is for personal use-not large quantities. Any suggestions?

I am not sure about shipping via UPS or the like, but I carry in lots of food items on each trip, and I have never had a problem with customs at the airport.

Anything shipped by FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc. will be subject to customs and duties.

I always have items shipped by Express Mail Service (EMS). Available from your country's Postal Service. I have never had any problems.

My mother sent me a bunch of food items and no issues, no duties.

The trick may be to have whoever is sending them to wrap them up as gifts (as my mother did)...

perhaps include a birthday card or something for more authenticity. :o
