Pity you wanna stay in Chaweng, otherwise there is a nice place in Bangrak near the Ocean.

Try Penzy its a great little guest house 2 min walk to beach.

Very clean and friendly with Thai and American owners.

You can read reviews on tripadvisor and book through hostel world for great rates.

got the P. Chaweng guesthouse now, which is 700 a night, colibri guesthouse next door, 800 baht/night, new villa guesthouse 800 baht/night and O.P. Bungalow, 1050 Baht/night (www.opbungalow.com)

think i will choose OP because it is on the beach and walking distance to many things and I think for the high season 1050 baht per night is not really a bad deal as well....!?
