Hi all,

I did a search but didn't find any similar thread..sorry if I missed one.

I was wondering what you all do, or did, and perhaps how that brought you to LOS (or didn't).

How do/did you make your money? How does it compare to how you thought you would make your money when you were 'younger'?

Cheers. :o

I conduct private research when in Thailand. Its a bloody awful way to make a living but I've got to many corners of Thailand and SEA through my work. Now I'm working on my own enterprise which I hope will see me in LOS full time some time in the next year. If that fails I will have a stab at teaching.

Deepwater exploration oil drilling and I'm getting sick of it... :o

HA! KNEW IT! You had to be in something Oil & Offshore related for that pro-republican view of yours...

Nice 8) Need some motiviation to wipe the dust off my synth and fire Cubase up again. It's completely fell apart since moving here. Turntables will happily do in the interim.

Myself, I'm a Software Engineer for a satellite communications company. Dead good.

Just to stick my 20 Baht's worth in!

I'm a web developer and javascript writer, aiming mainly at tourism and travel (see my signature!)

Into online bookings for hotels and a lot of marketing for selected dive schools on the east coast (Koh Tao, Chumphon).

In partnership with my missus, been here for 6 years, about 75% fluent in da lingo and get to spend 24 hours a day with my new baby son!

Got a healthy client base, will take a bit of a pounding due to the Tsunamis, particularly in Krabi, but then it's down to me and my colleagues to work a little harder now bringing in the Europeans.

Not a time to lick the wounds, it's time to stand up for this place we call home and do our best to help bring it back to life!

Not a bad life eh...?
