IanForbes
What type of bike is that, Keo. It looks like a nice size crossover style. I don't WANT a crotch rocket. I'd probably kill myself. But, a little more power than my JRD would be nice. But, the price was right and half that of a similar Honda phantom. Even the Phantom is a little underpowered for its size. If I lived here full time then I'd get a better bike, but as it is, if it got stolen while I'm away for 7 months I'm not out too much money. I love Chiang Mai And the thing is you can ride them for 12 months of the year, with only a few days off during rainy season.
WinnieTheKhwai
My reasons. Note: Many pictures were not taken by yours truly, but do very much represent my favorite scenes of Chiang Mai.. Some were posted to Thaivisa earlier by the respective author(s). My keeping and now reposting them indicates how much I appreciate the photo! All shots are reduced to 320 x 240, meaning they look great on a cell phone display.. If someone ever asks "So.. Chiang Mai, what's that like?" then I hand them my phone with these pics to flip through. Edited March 9, 2009 by WinnieTheKhwai

aslimversgwm
Here's a few of the things I love about living in Chiang Mai...My motorbike... Road trips on my bike... My Thai friends... Playing pool... Friendly, helpful locals... The view from my bedroom window... That'll do for now. Retired here last August after holidaying in CM, BKK and Pattaya on 4 previous occasions. Just felt so at home here. Its all been said before, but here's my '2penneth' worth: The climate, the countryside, the old town, the wats, the boys, the moat, the lanes, the food, the cost of living (despite pound now at 50 and I budgetted at 66), the bars, the clubs, the boys, the massages, the spas, the CM people, the hills, hilltribe people, those smiles, even some of the farang (!), the boys - repeating myself - you get the picture!
