Retirement Extension-embassy Letter.

I need to re-apply for a retirement extension in June. Last year with the Baht at around 65 to the GBP I easily qualified on the Bt800,000 rule and had no problems at Singkhon which is my local immigration post.

My pensions which made up the 800,000 have stayed about the same +inflation however as you all know the GBP is banging around at Bt50 at the moment so if it stays at this level I come up 200,000 short. Although I have savings these do not amount to the short fall and I prefer just to use the income route anyway and not a mismash of that and savings.

However I have another income stream that originates outside Thailand and the UK and is paid into my Thai Bank account via Paypal.

The British Embassy require Bank Statements to verify income (or P60) but since the transfers of this income stream go to a savings account there is no paper trail from the bank other than pass book.

Would the Embassy accept Paypal statements?

If anyone has been in a similar position or can offer advice it would be appreciated.

PS Incidentally I do have a Thai partner but I am single and intend to stay that way so forget the 400,000 route!
