jrkbkk
I wonder if anyone is experiencing noise as a result of the wind passing through the sliding window doors? If so, how were you able to correct the problem since it appears the doors don't quite close tightly enough? Thanks in advance. -JRK
Rimmer
Believe you are talking about aluminum sliding window doors right? There are three grades of aluminum doors/windows. The lowest grade is a loose fit in the tracks and also rattles when the wind blows. The middle grade is better and the top grade frames are quite a good fit. Check to see if there is a groove on the frame for a felt or rubber strip maybe you do not have the strips fitted in them or maybe the ones fitted are too small. Ask at your local window shop if they have it the strip, it usually comes in rolls. If you don't have the groove maybe you can adapt the 'under door' stick on brush strips that the Home Works shops have, they come in 1 meter strips and are about 99 baht. trogers
I would recommend changing aluminium sliding windows to casement ones, especially for buildings higher then 4 floors. Edited February 24, 2009 by trogers
