Yes, you'll need a visit visa. A single entry visit visa is about £40 I think and a multiple entry one is around £70.

Found this link by googling. Looks like the visa costs are a lot less in BKK reading that link.

Yes you need one. It takes at least a day to get your passport back as well....very easy.

The Vietnam Embassy is 2 blocks before the USA Embassy on Witthayu in Downtown Bangkok. Very small embassy and old looking....bring a visa photo as well!

Go to the embassy's website and, I believe, you can apply on line and get a letter of invitation (e mailed to you) that you present on arrival at Ha Noi or HCMC together with a passport size photo and the fee and get the visa on arrival. I have to say "believe" as I've yet to do this myself as previous entries have been arranged by my company's agent (same deal, I just had a letter and got the actual visa on arrival) but I will be doing it solo early May. I will say if you go that way have two copies of the letter with you when you check in as the airline staff will likely want to retain one for their backup and it saves hanging around while they make a copy.

Certainly the website for the Seoul embassy has no details nor forms for application in person at the embassy.
