Hi folks

I am about to get married and apply for a settlement visa to the UK for my other half in the next couple of weeks.

I live with my parents in a 3 bed Semi detached house and they are more than happy for us both to continue living in the house until such time as i am able to get a place of our own.

My Parents have already provided me with a copy of the House deeds and i have photo's showing there is ample room in the house for 2 couples with no children.

I have been searching the site but i cannot find any examples of the Invitation letter my parents would need to provide in order to be submitted as part of the Visa application.

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction or provide a link to the kind of wording needed?

Whilst it is easy enough to write a letter, it would be better if i could use a template that has had success before.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

As you say, it's easy.

They should simply introduce themselves as your parents; describe the property to show that there is at least one room for the exclusive use of you and your wife; state whether they rent or own and state that they are happy for you and your wife to live there indefinitely. If they have met your wife then say when and how often.

Cheers mate.

I have written it now so all seems ok.

Just had one of those blank moments and could not for the life of me figure out what needed to be in it.

If it is owned outright by your parents, ie no mortgage, I'd add that in and maybe a sentence about how long they've lived there if they have owned it for a number of years. Hopefully that will cover all the bases on it.
