When a Thai – Farang relationship breaks down. He for reasons only known to himself has decided that another Asian country and woman his where he belongs. OK, he leaves behind 2 beautiful kids, a 3 mil Baht house and new car. AND 40K Baht he is sending to the Ex every month to look after the kids. Doing the right thing, YES --they go to private school and she makes sure they have the best of everything — great mother.

Knowing she was in the market and being as though they are our next door neighbour I asked TW if she minded if I took on a Mia Noi and been kicked where I was never kissed!

So she ,after 2 years of being alone, has decided to bed up with a local Thai guy. 50K Baht Sin Sot!!! What a bargain for him!

Considering the dirth of threads on the subject of sin-sot , I would hazard a guess that the advantages to the payee are few and far between , as is life in general from there forward as long as ye are permitted to survive , and have an ATM to call your own .

When, soon after the wedding he reminds his new inlaws of the importance in Thai culture of helping family out and then asks for (and of course receives without so much as a 'but'...) a family loan at least equal to the amount of Sin Sod he has paid, at zero interest and with a 'flexible' repayments schedule.
