Hi guys,

I would like to have chin implant, lower eyes, and BA. I had chin impant few years ago and get corrected then I removed it 2 yrs ago. The left side silicone doesnt blend to the fat so when i smile it popped out like a small round bumped. Since I had the implant, my chin was not vertical anymore. I had the surgery under my chin. As i read on Dr Somyos website, he does it through the mouth.

I have sent my pics by email to Dr. Preecha, Dr. Somyos, and Dr Pommee. I havent heard anything yet.

Please post whose doctor that I should consider since I live in indonesia. Price is not a concern, the best result which I care the most.

I'm not familiar with chin surgery, but I've had a couple of procedures here. I am recovering from a surgery 2 days ago with Somyos Kunachak, and I am totally grateful that I chose him. I consulted with a few doctors from different leading hospitals here (Yanhee, Bumrungrad) and was going to go with another doctor but decided on Kunachak at the last moment. He recommended a different procedure than the other doctors wanted to do, and the result was much less traumatic and less scars. The other doctors said it wasn't possible, but Kunachak did it! And his facility and staff made me very comfortable and pampered me like a baby (I was nervous). I would definitely consult with him in person, but also check out others and go with who you feel most comfortable with. I am very happy!

Thanks Suzi for your input. I also considering Dr. Somyos for chin implant coz he is agood at jaw reduction so I think he supposed to be good at chin as well but am not sure about lower eyes. I heard Dr. Preecha does a good job on lower eyes. My friend has BA with Dr Somyos and She was happy with it.

I havent get any response from those 3 doctors. Do you think Dr Somyos will do a goob job on lower eyes as well???

In my experience, a lot of doctors' staff are slow to respond. Don't use their response time as an indicator of their skill. I think you should come and consult with a few different doctors when you're ready for your surgery, then just relax for a few days and think about what each one said and how you feel. Obviously since I am happy with my experience I will have only good things to say about Somyos and will recommend him to anyone. BUT, I think it's important to get a few different opinions before you make any decisions. You can do some searches about those doctors here on Thaivisa. I know there are some reviews. In the end though, it's going to come down to your in person consultations and what you feel is best for you. Each case is different.

Dr Poomee does really great work. He gave me a chin implant and eye surgery about 4 years ago. Great job, everything about it was top rate and I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him. He did the implant through a small cut in my neck and while he was at it he tightened up my neck muscles. Minimal discomfort and very fast healing.

I got respond from Dr Somyos, he said my lower eyes have prominent muscle on smiling, no excess fats or skin. He said if I concern about it, the solution is shaving out this muscle. He said to correct the asymmetry chin should be done intraorally and he wants to do the procedure through the mouth.

I read Dr Pommee site, he can do it under the chin. I already have scar there anyway from previous surgery so I prefer to do it under the chin rather than through the mouth.

I am planning to have consultation with Dr. Pommee and Dr. Somyos and pick one that I am comfortable with. Maybe same day consultation with them and surgery next day.

Dr. Pommee is out of town and wont be available till next week so i am hopefull can hear from him soon.

May I know what eye surgery that you had? upper or lower eyes? Where did he cut it if for lower eyes? How much is for Chin Implant and eyes surgery with Dr. Poomee?

Had both the upper and lower eyelids done. He cut just below the eyelash so there is no scar apparent. Sorry don't recall the price off hand. Wouldn't matter much today as the prices has risen a lot since then. See if I can find the price (actually I'll ask my wife as she will remember) she is not here right now.

I had my eyelids done by Dr Somsak, who is Dr Somyos's brother. He told me he cut my lower eyelid muscles so that they would not cause wrinkles when I smiled. This was 5 yrs ago. Problems: 1. I couldn't close my eyelids fully. My lower lids are pulled down...maybe due to the cut muscles not being able to pull them up. 2. When I smile, the wrinkles are back now. So cutting the muscles didn't solve anything really. I would say try not to cut the muscles.

I forgot to mention I just had my BA revision and mini tummy tuck done by Dr Preecha. 11 wks post op and fairly happy with results. Saying fairly happy because I have not achieved final results yet, but the BA is doing well, soft and natural. The right side seems to have dropped but the left has not fully dropped. They still look much better than the old BA.

Poomee is excellent yet in many ways old school and very conservative on what he does and even WHO he picks to work on depending on complexity.

For your chin try them all and see what they say in REAL LIFE. definately see PREECHA as well.

If i had to choose maybe chin w/somyos and ba+lower eyes with preecha or even all of them with him.

give it more time and lots more massaging. done skip or be lazy on that.

hope your using creams, silicone sheets/gels, copper peptide formulations and needling etc to minimise the scarring

I have seen his results and his students works so yes he would be excellent with BA.

Looks like you already feel good with somyos for chin.

So maybe you should check with an occuloplastic surgeon for you eyes and see what they say as well(they specialise in eyes).

yes lets all do that just because you think its the "best Plastic Sergery Clinic". The hospital does not make the doctor and you should know that from Doctor Death. Its very unwise to recommend a hospital on its own rather the surgeon is whats most important.

Dr Somyos quoted 70,000 baht for upper and lower eyelid surgery. Dr Burin who works in Dr Preecha office quoted $50,000 baht. Somyos took more time explaining and looking but they both seemed capable of doing the job. Are these prices typical??
