One Day Rafting Trips W/ Kids

Featured Replies

Any recommendations ?

Any number of rafting-elephant camp combos up around Mae Tang. The river is fairly lazy and quite safe for the younger ones. Finish it off, or begin the day, with a trip to the caves up in Chiang Dao.

Rafting:

Bamboo poles tied together floating downstream: Safe and great to do with kids who can swim and/or are wearing life vests.

White water rafting : Can be quite dangerous in the wet season. People get killed sometimes.

That's exactly the kind of trip you want to do; especially with kids. Don't go for any of these "whitewater" come ons. Maybe it will be a great adventure, but maybe someone dies. You just never know. Anyhow, not much great whitewater here anyway, even if they did know what they were doing, which they don't.
