A friend of mine got himself a rather technical device to measure radiation - (negative ions) from a product he is selling.

He seems baffled by it all, and I'm no physicist. Anyone with any knowledge care to explain over a beer??

If you are referring to a hand held device, the ones I have used were scaled in MR/hr with a multiplier selector to change scale if high reading are encountered. If you come by Mad dog Friday (4/3) around 1200 we might be able to sort it out or not as some of the devices need reader and re zero after being exposed. The latter is not likely if it was given without instructions.
