April 2, 200916 yr Could someone explain whast the a-net and o-net means? What is tested in these tests? Can it be compared to a SAT or ACT? I can't seem to find any info on the net and none of my friends know.
April 2, 200916 yr O-Net (Ordinary) is a range of the main core courses taught in schools. A-Net (Advanced) exams are more specific and students only choose to take exams in those particular subjects that will be required for the university course they want to take. I think it's something like that. Next year they will be replaced by GAT and PAT, which are the same but just different titles. Or something. Some universities are rejecting them and using their own entrance exams. It all changes each year so I haven't gone into too much detail yet as my daughter is still 2 years away.
