No. The most you can obtain would be the normal emergency 7 days and that may require show of ticket out. Only tourist visas get 30 days extension.

Correct.

Any visa allows for a maximum stay of 90 days (with exception of the retirement non immigrant o-a, which gives 12 months on entry).

Tourist is 60 +30, non immigrant is 90 straight away.

With reason and proof of outward transport 7 days should not be a big hassle.

Fred Sanford, you are talking about “non-O retirement visa” in the topic title. You can extend your permission to stay – not your visa – for one year at a time if you meet the conditions stipulated in paragraph 2.22 of Royal Thai Police Order No. 777/2551 for a foreigner who wishes to retire in Thailand.
