I have a single entry 60 day tourist visa valid until June 4th, however I am planning on travelling to Mynamar around the 10th of May and will need to re-apply for another 60 day visa for Thailand at the end of May. Is this possible? Thanks -r

so you havent used the visa yet you have in your passport? or did you enter with it to the country already? does it have a "used" stamp on it?

if not and it is valid until june 4th why do you need another one? you will need to use it in the next 3 months from the date you get it anyway so you might aswell use the one you have already.

i dont know what the rules are how many unused visas you can have in your passport

and if you can have many i guess it depends on what your travel plans are to/from thailand if you need another visa.

I do not really understand your question.

If you get another Visa the original one will be cancelled.

If you get a Re Entry Permit from Immigration befor you go to Burma your 4th June date will be saved.

:o

I'm not an expert in these things but I believe your visa will automatically be canceled when you leave the country.

I think you can either:

1. Get an exit/rentry permit before you leave which will keep your current visa valid. There is a fee for the rentry permit you will have to pay.

2. Get another 60 day visa in Myanmar (if they do that there) and pay the fee for it.

Either way you have to pay the fee (which in my humble opinion, is the real purpose of the Thai visa anyhow).

Yes my visa has been used already... so will it automatically expire when I leave the country? which would mean it would be no problem to get another visa in Mynamar?

I need another visa as my current visa is single entry and I will stay in Thailand after Mynamar until the 18th June.

Thanks

A single entry visa expires on use (when you entered the country). You now have a permitted to stay stamp and that will expire when you depart. No problem getting a new visa. You must have a new visa to obtain a new visa entry.
